Frequently asked questions.

What is Graphic Recording?

Graphic Recording is a means of documenting an event with notes and drawings, colour and animation. It can be done digitally or by hand and both versions make a meeting more memorable- the images are great prompts and talking points!

Your meeting can live on in the hearts and minds of your participants

I can record a rapid sketch to sum up the key features of your event, gathering or meeting.

What happens before the event?

We’ll have a chat via Zoom or phone to discuss details, such as venue logistics and timings.

  • We’ll talk about if the event is remote or in-person, and if the Graphic Recording is to be created in-person or digitally.

  • What are the key messages that must come across in the meeting?

  • Provide me with any visuals or colour schemes you use.

  • Give me an idea of how many speakers, the length of time they will speak, how many topics.

  • Any theme titles that I should pre-prepare?

  • We’ll talk about the pricing and the payment terms so that we can agree the cost and deposit.

  • I’ll bring everything I need with me- all I request is a table and chair, preferably close to a plug socket in case I need extra light. I’ll research the venue’s location and logistics and my journey there, so you don’t need to worry about that. I’ll even bring my own snacks!

What happens during the event?

I’ll aim to arrive at least 30 minutes before the event and set up my working area.

  • If I’m attending in person then I will set up somewhere with a good view of the speaker and clear sound

  • Your AV team (if you have one) can help me to connect my Ipad to your big screen

  • The speaker begins and I start drawing.

  • You and your delegates watch the selected words and images appearing on the big screen.

What happens after the event?

  • We all go home.

  • A review and check of the recording, any necessary tweaks so that everyone is happy, within 48 hours.

  • The recording is yours to keep and email on to other delegates.

  • I’ll give you a call to check that everything is still good, in a week or so’s time.

What is the cost?

  • Prices include all materials and expenses, including all travel in the UK.

  • The cost for a full day is £2,000 (8 hours)

  • The cost for a half day is £1,000 (4 hours)

  • If an overnight stay is needed, due to a very late finish or very early start, then this would be added to the cost.
