My next Dress Up and Draw workshop takes place at my very own Gleeful Dabbler Studio in West Croydon on Friday 23rd October.

It will be a Special Edition for Halloween, Day of the Dead and Frida Kahlo themes.

This is a free 2 hour session, with all drinks snacks and materials provided. Just pay what you can on the night!

What to Expect

  • Meet like-minded people in a relaxed setting. Get comfy with a drink and a snack.

  • An introduction to me, Zoe! And the other participants. A chat about how the course came about and what happens during the evening.

  • Zoe has 25 years experience as a teacher of Art and Textiles. She now works full-time as a live event illustrator.

    Learn some of her skills in this first session!

  • Whilst participation is encouraged, nobody is under pressure to perform. Some people will naturally want to dress up and parade around. Others may prefer to simply sit quietly and draw.

    Lots of people have never done any drawing since they were at school. That’s fine too, prepare to surprise yourself!

  • Regular workshops are planned to help improve different skills or to focus on different aspects of fashion illustration.

    Different themes each month mean that the material is always fresh!

Sample Itinerary

  • Chat about how I got started

  • Copy a simple drawing from a template

  • Participants will be responsible for brining their own lunch, but we'll provide water and some additional snacks throughout the day.

  • Participants decide who’ll dress up first, and who will stay seated and draw them.

    After about 15 minutes, swap over!

    We usually swap over 2-3 times to give every one who wants to, the chance to be an artist and a model.

  • Time to refine your drawings and add details and maybe a splash of colour to the background.

    Finally, a group photo displaying your fabulous work!

    Workshops that are hosted elsewhere are subject to different rates depending on the venue stipulations.
