Flamingo Land, A4 fine art giclee print

An A4 fine art giclee print of my watercolour fashion illustration entitled Flamingo Land. A painting of a model standing on one leg in a blue lagoon. She is echoing the position of the pink flamingo perched next to her in the lake. One of the model’s legs also looks as though it is turning into a flamingo’s leg, and the flamingo’s wing is becoming similar in shape to the model’s dress. The dress is made and designed by Karina Bond who specialises in invented her own fabrics from recycled materials and 3d printed items. I could not resist drawing such imaginative work!

This print is an ideal gift for a creative person who loves fashion, especially if they have quirky taste in art. It is imaginative and surreal and created with good humour.

What is a Giclee Print?

A giclee print is a high quality fine art print created using an ink-jet printer that employs pigment-based inks on archival paper or canvas. To qualify as a giclee, the print must be produced at a resolution of no less than 300 dots per inch ensuring exceptional detail and colour accuracy. Giclee prints are highly sought after by artists and collectors due to their archival longevity and superior reproduction quality.

My illustration is printed onto Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm – a white, 100% cotton paper with a smooth surface texture which guarantees archival quality. The paper meets the highest industry standards regarding density, colour gamut, colour graduation and image sharpness while preserving the special touch and feel of genuine art paper.

The giclée prints are created using an Epson P7500 with Epson pigment inks, which, with the 12 channel print head, is capable of producing an extremely wide tonal range and colour gamut.


The print size is A4, the dimensions of which are 21cm x 29.5cm
